Summer Camp Mac N Cheese

Cheesy and delicious, this homemade Mac N Cheese is the perfect comfort food!

Ingredients
  

  • 5 lbs macaroni
  • 5 sticks unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 T salt
  • gallons whole milk
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire
  • 1 bag 5lb shredded cheddar cheese (reserve 3 cups for topping)
  • 16 oz Panko

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400℉. Grease 2 full steam pans.
  • Boil macaroni in salted water to al dente following box instructions. Drain and divide into 2 steam pans.
  • In a large pot melt 4 sticks of butter over med-high heat. Whisk in flour, seasoning, milk and worcestershire. Whisk until beginning to thicken.
  • Add cheese and stir until melted. Taste and adjust seasonings.
  • Pour cheese sauce over the macaroni in the pan and give it a little stir. Top with panko, remaining cheese and drizzle with 1 stick melted butter, all evenly divided between the pans.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes until melty, bubbly and delicious.
