I have struggled over the past several months with plantar fasciitis. It is painful and not that much fun. OOFOS have saved my day! They were recommended by my podiatrist, but it wasn’t until I was hurting so badly that I’d try anything that I got some. World of difference! I know around here you can get them at Academy, but I’m not sure what other physical stores carry them. Of course, they are available on Amazon and I ordered mine directly from the manufacturer website. They aren’t cheap, but the OOFOS site has good sales if you’re patient.
I am prepared to acknowledge that these are not particularly fashionable — I call them my ugly, old man shoes! At this point in my PF journey, I am willing to trade fashion for comfort. Does this make me old? Maybe. Frumpy? Probably. Am I okay with that? For sure!
I also have these flops that I wear around the house. Love them! I would recommend ordering down if you’re in between sizes (available in whole sizes only).
My only complaint is that they make the worst fart sounds as you walk. It’s so bad!! But a fair trade for the heel pain relief. If you hear me walking by just ignore the sound effects and know that my feet are in squishy heaven!
